Miss Montserrat Utilities Limited, Tazia Briscoe-Jarrett is the new Montserrat Festival Queen 2013/2014.
Miss Briscoe-Jarrett was crowned Queen on the night of Sunday, December 29, at the Festival City Grounds on Montserrat, where she competed for the title along with three other contestants. She won Queen, having amassed a total of 813 points. Her closest rival in first runner up position gained only 726 points from the judges.

Tazia was chaperoned by Miss Lorraine Lewis, a very experienced veteran in Montserrat's queen show organization. Miss Jo-Annah Richards was also a critical part of her chaperone team, and another very experienced choice, having been a former Miss Montserrat UK winner ( in 2006) and 1st runner up in the Miss Montserrat Festival Pageant (in 2007).
Miss Festival Queen, Tazia summarized her elation in being crowned as feeling "Great!!"

Miss Montserrat Utilities, Tazia was the undisputed winner, claiming victory in all but one category. She won Miss Photogenic, Best Introductory Speech, Best Talent, Best Swim Wear, Best Evening Wear, and Best Question and Answer.
Contestant number 3, Miss Azurdee Lindsey placed 1st Runner Up, whilst contestant number 2, Juneann John won Miss Congeniality.
Miss MUL, Tazia will reign this year in continuation from Miss Kadija Furlonge, Festival Queen 2012/2013.
The four ladies competed for this years title, 2013/2014 Festival Queen, over 5 segments including: Introduction, Talent, Swim Wear, Evening Wear, and Question and answer.
Several entertaining side acts worked hard to keep the audience rivetted throughout the show, including perfomances by The Soca Bunnies, Master Yogi Laser, Genesis Steel Orchestra, Ben Durant, Kwasi Ryan, and the Catholic Youth Council.
