Sensitive personal data is any sensitive data relating to customers (this includes information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinion, religious beliefs or other beliefs of a similar nature, membership of trade union, physical or mental health conditions, sexual life, commission or alleged commission of any offence or any proceedings for any offence committed or alleged to have committed by any customer, the disposal of such proceedings or the sentence of any court in such proceedings).
The practice and procedures MUL follows to collect personal data
MUL collects personal data from customers, whichever is convenient to use at the time, through the use of enquiry and registration forms, or by direct personal contact with customers (for example via email or telephone). MUL will only use personal information where it is necessary to do so because it is relevant to MUL’s dealing with customers or where consent is given. MUL will not process sensitive information about its customer without their consent.
MUL will, however, use personal data where necessary to do so because it is relevant to MUL’s dealings with customers (i.e. it is relevant to the provision of the goods and/or services that you have requested from MUL) including for billing, customer service and network management.
With customer consent, MUL will use their personal data for direct marketing, including the provision of offers for MUL and its services and customers surveys.

Security of personal data
MUL has in place appropriate technical and organizational security measures to prevent unauthorised or unlawful disclosure or access to; or accidental or unlawful loss of or destruction, or alteration; or unauthorised discloser of or access to; or other damage to personal data. These measures ensure an appropriate level of security in relation to the risks inherent in the processing and the nature of the personal data to be protected. The securely held personal data will only be accessible by selected authorised persons of MUL.
Rights to personal data held by MUL
MUL will only keep the information for as long as we are either required by law or as is relevant for the purposes for which it was collected.
During this period, MUL can be contacted at any time to see the personal data that is held, details as to the source of the personal data, the purposes for which the data is held and being used, details of the parties with whom personal data is shared. Also to correct, update, supplement or delete any of the personal data.
What happens when there is a complaint about MUL’s use of customer’s personal data?
If you make a complaint to the Customer Services Clerk and are unsatisfied with the resolution, please contact the Customer Service Officer. If your complaint is still not amicably resolved, it will be referred. Any findings of the misuse of personal data by MUL will be remedied as soon as possible.
