Disruptions to Electricity Supply - June 2007:

Monlec regrets to inform customers that its Brades Power Station is currently very low on capacity due to a series of faults that have occurred on its generation plant.  This means that we are currently unable to fully meet the electricity requirements of all our customers.

It is unlikely that this situation will return to normal before Friday 29th June 2007.

Due to this situation, Monlec has had to institute a rolling programme of load shedding - please tune into ZJB radio for the latest news on which areas will be without power.

In addition to this scheduled load shedding, customers with standby generators are asked to run them to assist with load reduction during the hours of 8am to 4pm.
